WHAT OWNERS SAY
❝
In summary, the R1Rs were an improvement over the stock tyres which on the 86 are either Yokohama Decibels or Michelin Primacy HPs, both of which I’ve run on my car. And by “improvement” I mean grip, a fair bit more of it in any conditions – although we never ran them on gravel.
❝
i have these as my fronts. Can't say too much for treadlife as i have only used em for 4k miles so far. I love these tires. The tread looks very aggressive, they handle rain pretty good and provide me with great grip trying to drift.
❝
R1R's will wear quicky on the street and prone to punctures In the category of for what it is worth, I thing the R1R's are too soft for real street use. I've driven them from track to gas station and back and they pick up shrapnel quick.
❝
I street track and show with these tires on my RX7 and could not picture running any other brand. I don't see my RX7 running anything but Toyo's for as long as I own the car.
❝
great tire on or off the track works just how i wanted them to. they get great traction in dry conditions and not to bad of traction in the wet considering its purpose.
❝
I love these tires in both the wet and dry for Autoslalom. This is the last season for the 140 tread wear allowance in the SCCA Street Touring class. Hope the replacement for this tire for next year has a 200 UTQG so I can continue to use them!
❝
I currently have these on two different cars, and have had them on others in the past as well. I can't imagine that changing any time soon. The grip increase when switching over to these has always been phenomenal and easily noticed by not only myself but others in similarly prepared vehicles that just can't quite seem to keep up!
