These tires are animals in the snow!! Wow, man, impressive stuff. We headed up to the snow for the day, aired down to 18psi, and started on a couple of feet of fresh powder in the High Sierras.

After 1,000 miles of driving through snow, ice, rain, mud, sand, gravel, and pavement, I can confirm that the Baja Boss A/T meets and exceeds all of those claims. That also includes how quiet they are at highway speeds — which is where other all-terrain tires tend to howl.

The tire came off pretty audible during off-road and snow conditions but remained surprisingly tolerable on dry on-road surfaces. High speeds also did not reek as much noise as we expected (guaranteed consistent steering and gradual revs) – good news for drivers preferring slightly more spirited drives without sacrificing too much noise control.

We were pleased with Baja Boss’ excellent control (for a rugged AT tire) on light snow. In fact, its footings established themselves even better than on off-road terrains and adapted quite well to instant steering inputs, resulting in very few panic reactions.

In all conditions, and on all of the different road types, the ride was comfortable and quiet. I didn’t experience even one bit of vibration, and when it came time to traverse one of the many potholes that festoon our fine state, none of them were jarring.

If there was one thing I had to say I am extremely impressed with, besides how great these tires look, is how they easily shed water away from the tire to keep you from hydroplaning. This is due to the tire’s asymmetric tread design, silica-reinforced compound, extreme Sidebiters, and PowerPly XD 3-ply construction.

I’ve tried county roads, interstate, and even towing 12,000-pounds and the handling was still great and the noise was at a minimum. I’m thinking if you had a truck that didn’t have a turbo or turbos, you may be able to slightly hear them but it isn’t bad at all.

I have the A/T Boss in 35s. They are a really new design and so not a lot of people have them yet. So far mine have been a great tire and are living up the MickeyThompson reputation for performance. I think MickeyThompson calls them A/Ts for marketing
