Grip in the wet was truly exceptional. Taking on-ramps onto the QEW was a bit more fun as I was able to build speed confidently knowing that I had more than enough traction.

Comfort - very comfortable and quiet tires, despite the car not being a quiet one. No high pitch noises, no weird resonance, no issues at all. Wear - like all other Michelin tires that I have used, splendid. Used for about 50k km and still have more than 5mm left. Still perform as new.

Ride quality over the first few days immediately struck me as refined. The tire absorbs potholes and frost heaves — which are everywhere in the Northeast during winter — without crashing or sending harsh impacts through the cabin.

Unlike most “normal” winter tires we have experienced, the Pilot Alpin PA4 tires seemed to add no thrum, hum, or other noise in the cabin. We can credit the outstanding construction of the Cadillac, but we have many years of experience testing and owning winter tires. They always hum. These did not.

The Pilot Alpin PA4s enabled crisp steering and lightning-fast turn-in. They seemed to have zero tread squish and squirm and were nearly brand-new. The handling of the Cadillac was fantastic, and we would expect nothing less, but any performance car owner knows that handling starts with the contact patch.
