Going from other known tyre brands to the Khumo road venture MT 71 has been a blessing. They have not let me know once in any conditions. They deflate nicely and leave a good foot print while also keeping the side wall strong which is very important for me and my use of the vehicle.

I was in desperate need of some tires so I decided to order a set of Kumho Road Venture MT71s in 265/75/16. It was a tough choice between these and the Cooper Discoverer STT Pros.

Wet pavement is where you need to pay attention. The wide voids that help in mud also reduce the contact patch on hard surfaces, which means hydroplaning resistance isn’t the MT71’s strongest suit. During heavy rain, I noticed longer braking distances and a slight loss of steering precision above 55 mph.

These tires have been very good. They hook up reliably on rocks, in gravel, and in deep sand. On the road, they're quieter than my old all terrain tires, and they're stable and predictable. I can't comment on their performance in wet, snowy, or icy conditions because we don't get much of that here.

What Can I say. I have ran BF Goodrich mud terrains for years. They make a lot of noise. Good Traction. But these Kumho MT71's. excel in every way. I have them on an FJ Cruiser and I am hard on tires. Rain, Snow, Rocks, Mud these tires perform.
