Subaru Outback, which gives a ton of grip due to it's AWD system. However, I can still feel the rear tyres slipping when going around some corners, especially in the wet. They wear well and are quiet, but I personally won't buy them again.

These tires were OEM on my new Hyundai Elantra sedan when I bought it in January 2015. They have 17k miles on them and the tread is very low. They drive ok on dry pavement and the wet drip is ok for light to moderate rain. They are noisy. These tires do not age well.

Twice now I have had these OE tires on new cars. Both sets wore the same. Initially, wear seemed good on a larger Hyundai Elantra, the first 20,000 miles with a little more than half tread left. However, the wear speeds dramatically & the tires wore out by 33,000 miles with very easy driving.

I think this tire was best of I ever drive the Taurus is one of annoying cars of noise specially with the dashboard or the plastic materials in the car. But once I bought these tires it was smooth driving even though there was no fuel efficiency but in the end I ended the noise.

Best set of tyres I have owned – My Kia Sportage came with the 426s and I have put 80 000 kms on the set before replacing. In that time I traveled 50,000 kms between the gippsland and melbourne daily and 3 trips to Broken Hill. They are fantastic tyres.

Got stuck in a really bad ice/snow storm and these tires got me home safely. I was so happy that I had these. My old tires would have spun me out and had me sitting on the side of the road waiting for help.

I had the chance to test the Hankook Optimo H426 on snowy roads. True to the all-season nature of the tires, traction and grip were marginal as long as you don’t push it.

Tread life has been encouraging throughout my extended test period. I’ve been checking tread depth at regular intervals using a simple gauge, and the wear has been remarkably even across the full width of all four tires.

Horrible tyres – These tyres are a disappointment, bought them more than a year ago and have been in my shed for most of that time. Very noisy, bad high speed stability, numb road feel, they even torque steer under heavy acceleration, in my opinion they are dangerous

I have nothing bad to say about the dry traction of the Hankook Optimo H426. But if you’re the sporty type of driver, you will find the dry traction to be a bit lackluster especially as you pile on the speed. But if you drive normally at average speeds, the tires won’t disappoint.

Weirdly enough, I felt the tires were in their element as I cruised quietly on a wet highway. It started to rain in the middle of the day so I had to content myself with an open stretch of highway as I was thinking about a nice place to grab some lunch.

I have nothing bad to say about the noise levels of the tires, either. The Hankook Optimo H426 tires had the same low levels of road noise as the Optimo H724. I only heard some tire roar as I approached silly speeds on the highway, but it wasn’t much.
