I purchased a set of Grabber X3s for my Land rover discovery 2 back in 2020 after i was unable to get replacement cooper ST Maxx in this size after watching the Expedition overland videos on Youtube and previous good experiences with grabber tyres i thought i would give them ago.

My first set I bought to replace a set of worn out Cooper's that I liked at first but about half way tread depth they started getting squirrelly and couldn't keep them balanced.

The tire did emit more dry tread noise than we would have liked, which worsened even more on loose terrains and wet roads. But in its defense, so did other competitors. In fact, X3 still managed the second spot in our test, since most of its rumblings did not spiral out of control and could be tuned out once the deep grooves familiarize themselves with the road patterns. 6.

The Grabber X3 carries the M+S rating but not the coveted Snowflake symbol as some had reported prior to release. When a powerful system arrived to our local mountains, I was up before dawn to put this thing in the middle of the snowstorm.

By far one of the best tires I have ever had. They survived a cross country road trip that went from wet to dry on and off road, then down to Mexico where they pre-ran the Baja 1000, then back home with little tread loss and no damage. Incredible!

The tires are made of a soft feeling compound, combined with technical lug pattern and siping that conforms to road irregularities giving excellent dry weather grip. You can really push the tires in the turns and only suffer the handling limitations of your vehicle. In my case that generally translates into understeer.
