I don't think there's anything wrong with the firestones but it is curious how little information there is on these tires and they've been out for a couple years.

My opinion hasn't changed - it's an ok tire, won't surprise and delight, but if the OEM tire was fine it won't disappoint. Would I buy it again? I'm a little bit on the fence.

I mainly do short trip city driving, so high performance of a true summer tire isn't really something I need, despite living in Hawaii and never needing winter tires. The Firehawks were the cheapest tire Costco sold in my size, plus there was a sale.

My gut feeling is that the Firehawk AS V2 is in-between. It rides a little more cushiony than the Pilot Sport 4SUV but when you get new tires, they do tend to feel that way when brand spanking new, so after a few months is may not feel that way.

After having the tires for about a week, I am noticing that it has softer sidewalls, closer to the Avid GT than the Pilot Sports. Decided to inflate to 38 front 35 rear (had been driving them with what Costco inflated them to - 35/33) and it feels better.
