I chose Dunlop Direzza ZIII over Bridgestone Potenza RE-71R because it was cheaper by $10 per tire, and it is supposed to have a longer tread life.

I've had them on my car for a few years. They tend to run a bit larger than other tires of their size, which give them a meaty look, and they do have impressive turn in and overall grip. Overall, I've been very happy with them.

Mine felt kind of hard and edgy at nearly 3 years old... Breakaway was abrupt (always had been but I don't remember it being that bad) and they were really noisy in the 2 days I had them on the car again before the tire swap.

Have driven other folks cars that had the ZII and the ZIII. I like them and very similar to Yoko AD08, Hankook RS-4, Bridgestone RE-11. All very good summer tires a step down in grip but longer life than the RE-71.

Not a 911 but I have about 7-800 miles on a set. They have tons of grip and are better in the wet than the previous ZIIs that I ran on a different 914.
