But we should also remember the Continental EcoContact 6Q is an OE EV tire for the BYD Seal. OE tires are often tuned around carmaker priorities, and here Continental clearly sacrifices wet grip and mileage to achieve better rolling resistance and energy

After 5000 miles, the tyre is still very comfortable and quiet. Dry grip is quite good, and dry handling is okay. Not great but adequate for daily driving. Wet grip, on the other hand, is horrendous. I encountered aquaplaning quite a lot in the rain, so I had to slow down quite a bit.

In the wet I found them to be a completely different story. They gave no confidence and they actually had much less grip that you would expect a tyre to have given the conditions.

The EcoContact 6 on the other hand excelled in a few areas. Without going into too much detail here, see the other EcoContact 6 reviews for that, in the dry and the snow the EcoContact 6 were generally very good. In the wet I found them to be a completely different story.
