These tires are quiet & solid. I haven't tracked them and probably won't, they are my street tires. My track tires are Dunlop ZIIIs and they are superb (but pricey). I think these Toyos are ideal street tires for Pacific Northwest driving where you might have cold 32F rainy temps but not much snow.

Overall, I’m impressed with the wet-weather performance and added confidence these Proxes Sport A/S tires provide. I wish they rode a bit softer and were a bit quieter, but the handling benefits in both dry and wet weather far outweigh any impact on comfort.

The Bad - What seems like a lot of VOC out-gassing, a few weeks and they're still at it, I can smell the tires from 10 feet - Rumor has it that as they wear, they become noisy, we'll see - Tire wear is not great, but I didn't buy them for that

But I think one of the best ways to describe them is 'transparent'. And by that I mean, I don't have to think about hydroplaning all of a sudden or the rear slipping suddenly if I take an off-camber curve a little faster than I should.

We received a massive load of snow recently, very rare for these parts. These Toyos held their own in the white stuff, no complaints. The huge dump of snow & minus temperatures really tested these tires. ... Where these Toyos really slip is ice - just awful.

Toyo Proxes ST III is a very capable wet tire. And my testing has proven just that, the longitudinal traction it offers is great, ... The ride quality is also very smooth, both on smooth and broken roads, and the tire doesn’t produce secondary motion.

The only problem with the Toyo Proxes ST III is its ability to operate in snow and ice environments. On the rare occasion of traveling to snow-covered areas, I tested the product, and the results were terrible. Performance even on thin snow is terrible

I do miss the sidewall stiffness of the REs as it affects the turn in and the overall feel of the car. I do not feel as confident through the twisties as I would with the REs.

On smooth pavement, the tire is genuinely quiet — quieter than many competitors in this class. On coarse-chip asphalt, there’s a slight hum that becomes noticeable above 60 mph, but it’s far from intrusive. I’ve tested UHPAS tires that are significantly louder, so the Proxes Sport A/S earns good marks here.
