I have those exact tires and for the exact reason you outlined. They are "ok" tires as long as you don't speed or do anything that relies on tire performance being particularly good. Traditionally I have always put high performance all-season tires on my commuter cars and summer tires on my fun cars.

I bought 4 brand new sentury touring. Have less than 5k prob also I live in Texas and where I live is mostly highway and if it rains they hold up good enough. Drive good and don’t drive like a dumbass with tires that are not Pro Rated.
