The Pirelli P4's have a stronger side wall which should help in corning and wear. With the 50% that I got back from the Goodyears, I paid $390.00 including an alignment.

P4's At 128k now with the P4's and they seem to be wearing really well and even. Looks as if I should get another 25-35k out of them. They are getting a little louder but still not as loud as the oem Michelins.

They behave decently on dry asphalt, but as soon as they encounter dirt or water, troubles begin. This tire is designed for dry, good asphalt (unfortunately, we don't have much of that). It's quiet, has decent grip on the road. On wet asphalt, it performs poorly, losing traction sharply, and requires careful driving.

The only drawback we can really say is that many drivers have mentioned not getting the 85,000 miles out of the tread life. That aside, the warranty coverage is excellent and includes a no time period limit on the tread life.

I'll second the suggestion to go with P4's...much quieter in manuvering, no squeal. the old LX4's squealled like 13 year olds at a Justin Bieber concert.
