This is my second set of Ohtsu ST5000 255/55R-18's on a 2012 Acura MDX. I use these for low miles city driving and occasional long drives in wet/snowy weather (4-5 trips/year) and less often on muddy unfinished roads (2-3 times/yr).

I only driven about 1000 miles on them, it's a good looking tire it handles good on dry and wet pavement so far. I do get some road noise from the tire that's my only complaint.Rides smooth but only got 30,000 miles out of them.

The OHTSU ST5000 tires were average in the snow and they are basically useless if you are traversing over sleet, ice, or deep snow. I think this is acceptable given the low price.

These tires are excellent!! I have a wk Cherokee hemi, so far about 400 miles, tires are super quiet. Also plus sized 2 inches and was expecting a tooth loosening ride, and its actually almost the same as the stock 18"s.

In all honesty, I have nothing bad to say about the OHTSU ST5000 when it comes to performance on dry roads. Traction and grip were plentiful and lateral grip was top notch given the bulk and weight of my test vehicle.

Traction on wet roads was also admirable. I was able to drive a bit more aggressively in the wet without forcing the tires to break traction. Don’t get me wrong, though.

The OHTSU ST5000 on my test vehicle were purchased six months ago but the treads were still relatively fresh despite the age of the tires. Yes, there were noticeable signs of fading and wear on the sipes but this is above average for the price.

The wet road performance shown by these tires was also impressive. I had driven with them when it was little pouring outside, and they did a great job. All thanks to the 4 circumferential grooves and added sipes, which wipe away water and withstand aquaplaning.

The tire is terrible in the snow; I couldn’t find any stability or good traction, even on light snow. Although the tire is called “all-season,” that’s a shame. I won’t recommend you buy these tires for winter.

There is nothing better out there period for a SUV tire for year round use. Snow traction is not as good as a dedicated snow tire but not bad by any definition. Im on my second set on both vehicles... Buy them you will not be disappointed

There is no question the GMC Acadia is a comfortable highway cruiser. I was able to drive at higher speeds without feeling tired or consumed after a long and tiresome journey. The OHTSU ST5000 felt like a more expensive set of touring tires on a smooth highway.
