Where the Vezda earned real respect was in a surprise thunderstorm on the way back from Charlotte. Heavy rain, poor visibility, 65 mph traffic. I was able to brake and maneuver without the slippery vagueness that scared me on cheaper UHP tires I’ve tried. Wet grip is genuinely the Vezda’s strongest quality.

Our highway drive with the Kenda was surprisingly pleasant considering the low price point. Response was somewhat dull, but not vague, and was progressive in nature. Our only complaint was the whirring noise that got louder as speeds climbed on the highway. This is typical of V-shaped tread designs.

Would I put them on my daily driver again? For the right model, in the right conditions? Without question. Would I recommend them over Michelin or Goodyear if your budget allows? No. Spend the extra money if you can. But if you can’t — Kenda has earned its place on the road.
