On the XC 90, we have logged about 3,000 miles, and they have performed extremely well in a recent Northeast snowstorm. In addition, they are much quieter than the original Pirelli tires.

I'm writing my review now. I know its to soon but I seriously noticed a difference in the handling of my vehicle with these tires. When I got my car, it came with Hercules Raptis R-T5's and they were very noisy but did handle well in the snow so I didn't rush to change em.

Within about 10,000 miles I had two tires develop sidewall bubbles (passenger front and driver rear). These were my first Falkens; I have never had this happen with tires from other manufacturers. Mostly highway driving, on good condition roads, no pothole or curb strikes. Size was 215/50R17

During several days of heavy rain, I pushed the Aklimate through standing water, puddle-covered intersections, and rain-soaked highway lanes. Hydroplaning resistance was outstanding. Those deep circumferential grooves and angled lateral channels do their job — water gets evacuated quickly and efficiently.
