The two most noticeable changes from the prior tires this car had worn were that noise was decreased and comfort increased. This is always a subjective area of our reviews, but without any doubt, these are smooth quiet tires.

I really wanted to love these tires. Made in the US and great reviews. I rarely drive over 60mph and when I did I had a bad wobble/shimmy. Under 60 was fantastic. Quiet, smooth, grip, wonderful. Worked with my installer and simple tire. Was able to return the tires under the ST policy.

Ride comfort is arguably the Cooper ProControl’s best attribute. These tires transform rough roads into something much more tolerable. The sidewall construction absorbs impacts beautifully. Potholes that would normally send shocks through your spine feel muted and distant. I found myself less fatigued after long drives compared to other tires I’ve tested.

During heavier rain when traveling on the highway, the Cooper ProControl tires seem to have reduced the feeling of hydroplaning we occasionally felt with the prior sets of tires. We also found the tires reduced nuisance spinning when starting off quickly from a stop in wet weather.

During light snow conditions — the dusting and slush common in many U.S. regions — the ProControl performed adequately. I was able to maintain control and make reasonable progress without drama. Light accumulation up to an inch or two didn’t present major challenges. The tread pattern isn’t aggressive enough to bite into deeper snow.
