I searched for tires with the same speed rating, traction and temperature rating as the highest rated performance all season tires (all big name brand tires). I’ve had success for years finding high quality less expensive tires using this method, and often it’s a new brand seeking market penetration with price.

In last place was the Atlas Force UHP, which I believe is made by Linglong, a chinese company.

However, when the rain intensifies, the tire’s limitations become more noticeable. In heavy downpours with standing water on the road surface, I felt the tires lose grip more readily than premium alternatives. There’s a definite reduction in confidence when pushing through deeper puddles.

These are 265/50/19 Atlas Force UHP tires and I’m very happy with them. Check out the video for the reasons why I chose these tires for my Kia EV6, as well as an efficiency and sound comparison vs my stock Kumho EV tires that came on my EV6.

Wet braking performance is the tire’s weakest attribute in my testing. ABS intervention comes earlier and more frequently than with premium tires, and stopping distances are noticeably longer. During one particularly rainy commute, I had to brake hard for sudden traffic congestion.
